Braxton Nedved would finish with 5 points and 3 assists. Hayden Knudsen and Lydia Yost would both round out the scoring with 3 points. Hayden would grab 4 boards and dish out 2 assists. Lydia would have a team high 3 steals. “Offensively we never got in a rhythm. Early in the game we took a lot of open looks early in the shot clock but didn’t convert where they did on the other end. Once we started to attack the basket and force them to play defense we started to get things clicking offensively. We can’t allow 38 points to open up a half. They hit some tough shots but we didn’t have any help on drives where we should have. The second half we did a much better job containing their scorers. We also can’t get out rebounded like we did. We gave them a lot of second chance points the first half. We have to do a better job of boxing out.”

We got good spacing and nice easy looks at the rim. We did a much better job the second half of boxing out and getting people out of the lane. We also got all of our kids rotated in and get some game time experience.“

Wagner would shoot 16-35 for 45% while the Falcons would go 20-44 for 45%. Both teams would go 6-8 from the line while Wagner would commit 13 turnovers to only 5 from the Falcons. “We didn’t start the game well defensively. We have to do a better job as they exploited the paint and got to the rim where we had to help and then they kicked to wide open shooters. Offensively we have to be confident shooters and ready to knock down shots in rhythm. We did a much better job defensively the second half and offensively we still struggled at times. We have to move without the ball and relocate so we can get some open opportunities from the perimeter.”
