The Thunder battled throughout the contest, with Avon holding the advantage through the early quarters and building momentum heading into halftime. AC/DC continued to compete in the second half, working to close the gap, but was unable to overcome Avon’s lead by the final buzzer.

Miller entered the contest with a 9-2 record while the Raiders were coming off two huge wins over # 2 ranked Parkston in class B and then previously undefeated # Hamlin in Class A.
