ANDES CENTRAL FFA ATTEND 98TH ANNUAL NATIONAL FFA CONVENTION AND EXPO

On October 28-31st, the Andes Central FFA members embarked on a bus ride to Indianapolis, Indiana for the 98th National FFA Convention and Expo. On day 1 they met new people on the bus, stopped at an elk farm on the way, and checked into their hotel. On day 2 they attended a session at Lucas Oil Stadium and visited the booths at the expo center. On day 3 they visited a shrimp farm, went to top golf, and then went to a haunted house. On day 4 they began their day by visiting the expo center, then began their drive back, and visited the Worlds Largest Truck Stop. The FFA appreciates their sponsors because the Andes Central FFA chapter could not have had this amazing opportunity without their support.

STANLEY 'BOE' FOBB

Funeral services for Stanley “Boy” Fobb, 61 were held Saturday, November 22 at the Greenwood Community Center. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements. Stanley died Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner.

GLADYS T. METTEER

Gladys T. (Holec) Metteer passed away peacefully on November 9, at Providence Villa in Sebeka, Minnesota. She was 97 years old. Gladys was born to Vaclav and Mary (Ober) Holec on September 28, 1928, near Dante. She married Harold Metteer on October 9, 1947, in Luverne, MN. Together they farmed in Charles Mix County, until 1967. At that time, they moved to Nimrod, MN, and continued to farm there.
