NEW STYLIST AT TOWN & COUNTRY SALON

Starting on November 4th, Town and Country Beauty Salon has a new stylist in its midst. Chantal Zephier, a fiveyear licensed cosmetologist, is joining the team. Chantal received her cosmetology certification from the Gary Manuel Aveda Institute as well as learned to be a lash stylist at Amazing Lash both of Seattle, WA. Since 2020, she has been styling hair independently as well as working in childcare.

AUXILIARY HOSTS FALL DISTRICT 8 MEETING

The Wagner American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) in conjunction with the Wagner American Legion and Sons of the American Legion hosted the Fall District 8 meeting on October 27th. The day started out with a social hour for all attendees to mingle, conversate and get caught up about differing events and activities that various units were undertaking. It was followed by a lunch of tavern, hot dogs and a plethora of homemade salads and desserts provided by Wagner ALA members.

GREENWOOD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH BEGINS RENOVATIONS

One of the oldest established churches in Charles-Mix County is the Greenwood Presbyterian Church. The town, now village of Greenwood, had opened a post office in 1859 with 1859 being the only date on record of the beginning of the town of Greenwood. The post-office remained in operation until 1965. The town’s name of Greenwood actually comes from the naming of the post-office itself, which was called Greenwood because of a grove of trees that was near the original town site.

Wagner Rotary Club had a full house on Wednesday, November 6th. Harvest is over for the farmers, and we enjoyed seeing each other over a meal. President Weber gave a blessing for the food and fellowship. Judene Irvine was a guest of Amanda Bechen.
