The Panthers would start out hitting their first 5 shots to take a 12-4 lead but the Raiders would settle in and then go on a 13-3 run to end the first quarter to take a 17-15 lead. The Panthers would put up a fight until half trailing the Raiders 32-26. The second half would all belong to the Raiders out scoring the Panthers 42-15 claiming a 74-42 victory. With the win the Raiders secured home court advantage through region play. This win also means the Raiders are Co-Champs of the SESD conference as Parkston knocked off Mt Vernon Plankinton last Tuesday. Wagner was led by Ashlyn Koupal with 28 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks. Macy Koupal would finish with 17 points, 8 boards, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. Lydia Yost would be the third Raider in double figures with 16 points, 6 assists, 2 boards, and 2 steals. Hayden Knudsen would finish with 6 points, 2 boards, and 2 steals. Braxton Nedved would finish with 3 points, 3 boards, and 2 assists. Ravyn Medricky would finish with 2 points, and Aubrey Medricky would make her season debut and score 2 points on Senior night!. Wagner would shoot 25-52 for 48% while the Panthers would shoot 16-16 for 35%. Wagner would outrebound the Panthers 28-24 and commit only 5 turnovers compared to 17 from Platte-Geddes. Wagner would go 16-16 from the charity stripe while the Panthers would go 3-8. “What a great way for our Seniors to end their regular season with a win securing home court throughout regions. We got off to a slow start offensively and defensively but once we settled in on defense and got stops and pushed the tempo in our favor it made it harder for the Panthers to play fast. Now on to post-season where everyone comes in on an even playing field. Great job ladies!”
