The Gregory Athletics Club hosted the 32nd Annual East-West Shootout on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Gregory Memorial Auditorium. The event features area high school seniors getting together to play a fun and eventful game with their peers from opposing towns. The games consist of two halves, 18 minutes each.

Read moreThe Wagner Boys Basketball team finished their season in the first week of March. The team finished with an 1111 record. Parker Petry led the team in many categories including, points scored, field goal percentage and field goals made. Preston McFayden led the team in 3 pointers made, Brady Cournoyer led the team in rebounds and blocked shots. Brady Cournoyer finished his career as the all-time blocked shots leader, he had 78 of them. Brady also broke the record for blocked shots in a season with 68 and he now has the record for blocks in a single game with 10. Carlos Galindo set a new school record with 97 assists in a single season.

Coaching these ladies is a blast and they had lots of fun together this season which makes it even that much more enjoyable as a coach. Every season has its highs and lows and the great thing is we ended it on a high, appearing in the state tournament and finishing with a dub!

Wagner graduates and basketball standouts Emma Yost and Shalayne Nagel who both play for the Dakota Wesleyan University Women’s Basketball team received GPAC All-Conference Honors. Yost was named to the GPAC First Team and Nagel received Honorable Mention. The DWU Tigers made it to the NAIA National Tournament opening rounds where they played The Masters. The season ended in round two of NAIA Tournament and in the second round of the playoffs, Emma reached her 1000th career point and was the 31st Tiger to achieve this honor.
