The Wagner American Legion Greer Post #11 is proud to announce their 2025 Unit Legionnaire of the Year, Danny Rezac. Not only was Danny chosen at the unit level, but in the district competition, he was named District Legionnaire of the Year. He will now compete at the state level at the State of South Dakota American Legion’s annual convention in June.

Funeral Mass for Gary Carda, 73, of Wagner was held Tuesday, April 22 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

STEPHANIE MILLERDAVIS LIBRARY SUMMER READING GRANT PROGRAM Pierre, S.D.-- The Stephanie Miller-Davis Library Summer Reading Grant Program is now in its sixth year of supporting summer reading programs in small rural communities in partnership with the South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) and the South Dakota State Library (SDSL). The program to date has distributed over $220,000 to libraries in rural communities across South Dakota.
