Jeanne Miller, 90, of Centerville, SD, died Thursday, January 30, at Centerville Care and Rehab Center as a result of complications from an infection.

Cora Jeanne Miller was born June 26, 1934, to Leslie L. and Dola (Wharton) Kloth in Faulk County, Faulkton, SD. She grew up on the family farm in the Faulk County area and graduated from Redfield High School, in 1952.

She married Raymond Arthur Miller on June 2, 1953, (same day as Queen Elizabeth’s Coronation) in the Wheaton Congregational Church at Burdette.

Jeanne completed a Teacher Certification Course at Northern State College, and taught Country School. She moved with Raymond and family to Mobridge, Watertown, and Clear Lake, SD, where Raymond worked for the Farmers Home Administration. In 1962, Raymond was transferred to Lake Andes where Jeanne raised four boys.

She was active in many aspects of the community including being elected to the Andes Central School Board. She was active in the First Presbyterian Church including United Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed attending many events watching her sons participate in baseball, football, basketball, wrestling, running track, and music concerts. In later years, Jeanne was a tutor in the Andes Central School District as she loved helping young students develop. She enjoyed playing golf, attending Country Music Concerts, and was involved in the family honey production business.

Jeanne is survived by her four sons, Michael (Cindy) Miller of Corsicana, Tx, Bryan (Belinda) Miller, Viborg, SD, Randall (Jeanie) Miller, Sioux Falls, SD, Terry (Kristian) Miller, Ft. Pierre, SD; eleven grandchildren, Rawley (Jamie) Miller; Houston Davidson, Graham (Maranda) Miller, Nicholas Davidson, Parker Miller, Kristen (Riley) Baehr, Rachel Miller, Joshua Miller, Lesli (Andrew) Olson, Bailey (Andrew) Sager, Jacob Miller; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Bendert of Rapid City, SD; and sistersin- law, Carol Swenson, Linda Stinson, and Darlys Kloss.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Miller Westside Chapel, 6200 W. 41st Street, Sioux Falls, SD. The family will greet friends at the visitation from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, February 7, 2025, also at the Westside Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date
