Ona Mae Ingalls, 85, of Lake Andes, went to her heavenly home Saturday, February 1, at her home in Lake Andes. Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 5 at 10:30 am at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Andes.
Ona was born May 31, 1939 to Emil and Frances (Davis) Youngbluth in Wagner, SD. She met and married the love of her life, Harry Ingalls, on November 1, 1985 in Parker, SD. The couple enjoyed 39 loving years together. During her adult years, she was proud to earn her GED, sold Avon products for 11 years, and worked for Andes Health Care Center for 8 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Lake Andes and enjoyed camping, solving crossword puzzles, putting puzzles together, coloring, and especially enjoyed reading to her children and grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared her life are her 7 children: Patsy (Terry) Rieckman of Salem, SD; Deb (Ernie) Bures of Tyndall, SD; Rod (Ruth) Bergin of Lake Andes; Andrew (Cherice) Ingalls of Moorhead, MN; Mark (Christie) Ingalls of Rapid City, SD, Peggy Ingalls of Mitchell, SD; and Terra Bergin; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 greatgreat– grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters, Norma Martin, Joyce Tichy, and Sandra Pringle.
