The Wagner Red Raiders home opener ends in a win. The Red Raiders welcomed in last years 11B state champions the Hot Springs Bison. Raiders were able to out pace them with a final score of 270. Leading the way was junior QB Gannon Knebel with 225 rushing yards and 2 rushing Touch downs. Knebel also pitched in 80 yards passing on the night with a 15 yard passing touchdown to junior receiver Shea Kjeldgaard. Other notable offense contributors include Sophmore RB Javian Pesicka who is credited for 70 yards rushing and one touchdown. Hunter Lhotak with 40 yards receiving. Carlos Galindo with 38 yards receiving.

Wagner Cross Country ran at the Gregory Cross Country Invite on Tuesday, September 2nd. The wind was a major factor in a way that often times happens in South Dakota. The kids were running into the wind more than they were not. However, this did not stop them. They powered through. The results are as follows:

The Wagner volleyball team hosted the Vermillion Tanagers to kick off their 2024 season. The young, competitive Red Raiders came out eager to play and picked up their first win of the season. Scores of the varsity match were 25-13, 25-17, 23-25, and 25-22.

It was a nice day to start the 2024 Cross Country season off. Wagner attended the Beresford Invitational on Friday, August. 30th. The Wagner kids showed up to race and they did not disappoint for Wagner. There were three medal winners from Wagner – Grady Bartunek placed 10th in his 4K race, Taya Stone placed 17th in her 4K race, and Cooper Slaba placed 12th in his 3K race.
