His best memory was the Dell Rapids game as it was the last game before the championship. Unfortunately, they lost by one touchdown. Heumiller says his favorite thing to do in football is hitting people. He plays offensive line and linebacker. He was madeall-stateandallconference. Kley’s football number is 72 and he is the head football captain. He has earned 5 letters. His personal goal is to make state and win it, but doesn’t plan on playing college or professional football. His hype up food is peanut butterandjellyandhisdrink iswater.HecreditsBradBirema and Justin Lukkes for teaching him the sport of football. Kley also participates in Track. By playing football, Kley has built relationships that will last a lifetime. He plans on coaching and going to Mitchell Tech. His future goal is to take over his grandpa’s farm.

Tyler’s most important moment so far, has been making state every year since 8th grade. If he had to describe his team, he would describe them as a “bunch of studs”. Something someone might not know about the team is how hard they work at 6:30 AM practice. Tyler not only has to run in the morning, he also has afternoon football practice. His favorite place for a meet is Burke, because it has the flattest course. Tyler’s best time for a meet is 19 minutes, which took place at the Burke meet. Some other sports he is involved in, is football where he playsrunningback,track,wrestling, ashortstopinbaseball,and swim team. Out of all the sports he is involved in, his favorite is wrestling. Tyler’s favorite school class is Biology. He is one of six siblings. A fun fact about Tyler, is he is not a good driver. Tyler’s goal for cross country is to place at state, and his goal for the year is to have better grades than he did last year.

Read moreDakota Bodden is a staff member and coach at Avon School District. He has been teaching for four years, all of which have been at Avon. One of Mr. Bodden’s hidden talentsisaslightphotographic memory-he is able to recall things he sees like maps. Mr. Bodden answered that if he won the lottery, he would not give up teaching. He says, “No amount of money would keep him from teaching, but if he could do something else he wouldtrainhighlevelathletes, or work for the state education department.” Mr. Bodden describes a good day at school as kids seeing personal growth. Something that inspires Mr. Bodden is the idea that he can achieve anything he wants to. The school sports and activities Mr. Bodden likes to watch are football and track.

Her first memory of Avon was thinking that it was huge because she went to a small country school when she was young.Shewouldlikethestudents to remember her as a helpful person, a positive influence, and someone they could always talk to. Ms. Wynia’s biggest achievement this year has been that she gets to start a national honors society chapter. Her biggest inspiration is when students reach their full potential. The best thing about her job is getting to see the students and the worst thing is feeling like she doesn’t have enough time for everything she needs to do.
