Florence Henry would come out aggressive the first half attacking the paint off the dribble and stifle the Raiders offense holding them to only 15 points as the Falcons would take a commanding lead into half time 15-35. Wagner wouldn’t go down without a fight. The Raiders would cut the lead to 6 with about 3 minutes left but wouldn’t be able to capitalize on three possessions. The Raiders would out score the Falcons 25-14 the second half but fall short 40-49. Ashlyn Koupal would lead all scorers with 23 points 9 boards, and 4 blocks. Macy Koupal would add 8 points, 5 boards, and 3 assists. Hayde Knudsen would finish with 4 points and 5 boards. Braxton Nedved would finish with 3 points and Lydia Yost 2 points and 2 assists. Wagner would shoot 16-35 for 45% while the Falcons would go 20-44 for 45%. Both teams would go 6-8 from the line while Wagner would commit 13 turnovers to only 5 from the Falcons. “We didn’t start the game well defensively. We have to move without the ball and relocate so we can get some open opportunities from the perimeter.”
