These proposals are the first step in a multi-year process. Under the law, all VA proposals are required to be reviewed by the Commission, the President, and Congress.

Kathryn Doom was one of approximately 100 high school students from across South Dakota to have an opportunity for a firsthand look at the legislative process by serving as a page for the 2022 South Dakota Legislature. Kathryn was selected by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate and was sponsored by Senator Erin Tobin of Winner. Kathryn is the daughter of Todd and Amy Doom and is currently a Junior at Wagner Community School.
