This month’s featured volunteer firefighter is Wagner’s Mike Insko. Mike has been a member of the Wagner Volunteer Fire Department for the last 13 years. Mike first joined the Wagner Fire Department because he wanted to become a part of an organization to meet others in the community and to be a part of providing assistance to the Wagner and surrounding areas.

Ryan came up with the name while playing cards one day, it came to him that it is hard to beat an ace in cards and thus came the name Aced Concrete and Landscaping. Aced Concrete and Landscaping is a construction business that offers decorative concrete, garage floors and landscaping. Ryan feels that what sets his business apart from others is that he has an eye for concrete design and really enjoys being able to help someone make their vision a reality.

Read moreBishop Donald E. DeGrood was born in rural Faribault, Minnesota, February 14, 1965 and raised on family farm not far from there. He attended Catholic grade school in Faribault and graduated in 1983 from Bethlehem Academy Catholic High School, a school sponsored by the Sinsinawa Dominicans. He attended the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where his discernment of a priestly vocation led him to Saint John Vianney College Seminary. After graduation from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy in 1987, he worked for several years in the business world, first as a shoe sales representative and manager, then for Land O' Lakes as a feed specialist. During this time, he continued to be drawn to the idea of a priestly vocation. He entered the Saint Paul Seminary in 1993, earned a Master of Divinity, and was ordained to the priesthood by Archbishop Harry J. Flynn, May 31, 1997.

During her years at WCS, Abriana has been a part of several extra-curricular activities including band (three years), track (three years), volleyball (four years), stats (three years), chorus (three years), student council (four years) and activities council (two years).
