Congratulations to all of our winners. We are very proud of all of the K-3rd graders that participated. They did a wonderful job and were so creative. American Legion Auxiliary members have hung up posters at many business locations throughout Wagner. We could not have made this contest possible without the help of WCS elementary teachers and staff. This year there were 183 entries. It is hoped that the annual poppy contest will help educate our communities' youth about the importance of the poppy and what it means and represents. The poppy is a national symbol of remembrance for those soldiers and Veterans that have given their lives in service of keeping America safe during its times of war.

The word “rogation” comes from the word “rogare” which means “to ask or request.” It means that we as God’s people recognize that if we are going to have a successful harvest; if we are going to be able to feed ourselves and the world; if we are going to have any chance for a good return on our sowing of seeds we need to ask God for help.
