With it being prom season, the Lake Andes Senior Living Center crowned their 2024 King and Queen April 13th. The candidates for King were Melvin Chasing Hawk, Randall Spreckles and Paul Fast Horse. The candidates for Queen were Estelle Redlightning, Noreen Bridges and Vae VanDenHoek. Congratulations to both King Melvin and Queen Estelle. Read moreMay is designated at Older Americans Month and to commemorate this month and honor our older Americans the Library will be the site of a Pie & Games Social, sponsored by LSS Older Adult Resource Network. The social will be held on Tuesday, May 7th from 1-3 pm at the library location at 17 Park Ave. A fun afternoon of cards, puzzles and pie and coffee can be had by all attending. Read moreThe South Dakota Council of Administrators of Special Education (SDCASE) recently chose Miss Slaba to be the recipient of the 2024 Outstanding SDCASE Administrator award. Missy started teaching at the Wagner Community School the 2008-2009 school year; this May will mark the end of her 16th year of teaching at WCS. All 16 of those years has been as the WCS Special Education Director. Slaba’s official title is the Special Education Director (B3 services through age 21/district wide).
