The Wagner City Council met for their regular monthly meeting on December 2nd at 6 p.m. at City Hall. There was quite a list of items on the agenda, but only a couple of topics that led the council to discuss. These issues included the first reading of the Ordinance #2024-006 which is the Special Bed, Booze and Ticket Sale Ordinance also known as the BBB tax, the city pool and the search for a new city attorney.

The Wagner Oral Interp team headed to the state competition in Sturgis on Thursday, December 5th. The team competed against tough competition and judges on Thursday and Friday.

Head Coach for the Red Raider boys’ basketball team for the 2024-2025 season is Josh Davies. He is assisted by Riley Kirwan and Sam Matzke. This is Davies’ 21st year of coaching. This year’s team is led by five seniors including Preston McFayden, Parker Petry, Brady Cournoyer, Jeremy Cheyenne and Frank Soukup. The team has one returning junior, Ky Arpan. Returning sophomores for this season are Jesse Zephier, Carlos Galindo, Javian Pesicka and Leon Fields. Cruise Koupal will be the lone freshman returning for the Raiders.
