LADY PIRATES SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE

'The Lady Pirates ended their season short but have made many gains this season. All the Lady Pirates improved their volleyball skills throughout the season, which helped the team make improvements during the season. Many of the players accepted new roles and worked hard to do their best in whatever role the coaches asked them to play. We thank our seniors for their leadership and dedication to Pirate volleyball. McKenna Kocmich reached some milestones this season as she set her 1000th set assist and served her 100th Ace!

Memorial services for Marlene Skorpik, 89, of Wagner were held Tuesday, November 1 at The Assumption Catholic Church in Dante. Burial is in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Dante. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements. Marlene Skorpik was born April 12, 1933, the daughter of Joseph and Elsie (Placek) Skorpik. She died Thursday, October 27, 2022 at her home in rural Wagner.
