To kick off this year's homecoming, AHS started the week with coronation. After the coronationwasalsothe“burning of the A.” “The burning of the A” has been a tradition that started in the 90s at AHS. This year’s queen candidates were Maesa Kuhlman, Mylie Bares, Ella Small, Kaeli Wallinga, and Macy Voigt. The king candidates were Aziah Meyer, Jaydon Dreisen, John Fathke, Devin Rucktaeschel, and Landon Mudder. This year's homecoming king and queen, as voted by the students of AHS, were Macy Voigt and Aziah Meyer.

They have become a staple for not only Avon, but surrounding communities when it comes to their flowers, plants, and produce. What made the Tolsmas decide to branch out and open a flower shop in Avon is that the flower shop that was previously in Avon had closed down. The Tolsmas saw a need and decided that they would expand their already established greenhouse business to include a flower shop.
