Read moreMrs. Diane Herrold is the 1st Grade Teacher at Andes Central. She was raised on a farm near Bruce and attended Sioux Valley schools. After this, received a Bachelors of Arts of Elementary Education from Northern State University. To further her education, she earned her Masters Degree in reading and literacy from Walden University.
Read moreMs. Allison Ekroth is both the Head Coach for the Thunder Volleyball and Basketballs teams, she is also the 2nd Grade Teacher. Allison grew up near the area in Gregory and furthered her education starting at Mount Marty University earning a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. She later worked towards earning her Master's in Reading Education at Black Hills State University. As a student Allison enjoyed learning Math and now she enjoys teaching Reading to her students the most! Outside of the classroom Allison has a deep love for all things sports. Her favorite teams to watch and root for are the Los Angeles Rams football team and the University of Louisville basketball team. Allison also enjoys playing basketball and volleyball. She also love to show her creative side by building Lego sets. Her favorite treats are on the fruity and sweet side being Nerds Gummy Clusters and Mountain Dew. As she is an avid basketball lover, Allison's favorite quote comes from Kobe Bryant, 'Everything negative-pressure, challenges- is all an opportunity for me to rise'. Simply being a teacher at Andes Central is what brings her the most joy. Andes Central was her first teaching job and she enjoys the community. She loves to see the smiles on students' faces when they are getting to learn in a safe and supportive environment.
