The annual event held this past Sunday, August 18 is in its nineth year and is organized by the 11 members of the Dante Tractor Pullers Association. This year’s event had 85 hooks. As with each yearly event, it does seem to grow with the number of entries as well as spectators. The organizers are always happy to see new faces. The Northeast Nebraska Pullers Association was on hand to run the day’s pulls. When speaking to an organizer, Tyler Koupal, he said that there was a very nice mix of pickups, tractors, and semis on hand so that there was something for everyone to come and watch from the very young to the more seasoned pull enthusiast. The proceeds will go to the Dante/ Avon Pink Ladies as well as the Dante Fire Department.
