The annual meeting of the Pioneer Cemetery Association will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22 at the Ron and Lois Hornstra farm just west of the cemetery. Anyone with any interest in the cemetery is encouraged to attend.

Willard and Darlene (Buchholz) Goehring were married March 20, 1960 at the Danzig Baptist Church, rural Avon. They have three children, Kim (Keith) Frey, Brian (Jessie) Goehring, Terry (Tracy) Goehring, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In recognition of their 65th wedding anniversary, their family would like to honor them with an open house/card shower: Sunday, May 18 from 2-4 p.m. at the Menno Fire Hall, 302 S. 5th St. They request no gifts.
