RAIDERS SUFFER LOSS ON SEASON OPENER TO THE TITANS

Friday the Red Raiders hosted the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans for the home opener of the 2018 season. The Red Raiders were able to cause a turnover on the first Titan offensive play, but gave it right back on their next offensive play. The Titans were able to capitalize on some Red Raider mistakes and raced out to a 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter the Red Raiders were able to establish a drive in the middle of the quarter and scored on a Jaden Peters to Preston Nedved 10-yard touchdown pass and Dustin Honomichl added the extra point to put the Red Raiders on the board going into the half. The final score ended up 58-7. Offensive Jaden Peters was 8-13 for 71 yards and a touchdown receiving Preston Nedved led the team with 5 receptions for 31 yards.
Defensive leaders were Preston Nedved with 14 tackles and Tony Bruguier 11 tackles. The Red Raiders are back in action Friday night on the road against Stanley County.
