Timothy Eric Ishmael, 60, of Gallup, NM died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Rehoboth McKinley Christian Hospital in Gallup, New Mexico. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 21 at the Wagner Christian Church in Wagner. Inurnment will be in the Wagner Cemetery.

Timothy Eric Ishmael was born August 3, 1963 to Ralph and Viola (Baggs) Ishmael, one of 13 siblings and was raised and worked on the family farm and salvage yard. He attended school in Wagner. Tim had a variety of jobs over the years. He worked as a truck driver, railroad lineman and mechanic.

Tim then moved to Gallup, New Mexico to work as a mechanic on heavy equipment. While there, he met the love of his life, Lois Hubbard. Lois and Tim shared many travels together. They loved to camp, fish and watch movies together. Tim had a passion for hunting and fishing. He loved spending time in the mountain ranges in New Mexico seeking signs of elk and deer. In the summer, he could be found at the Navajo Lakes fishing and camping. He also volunteered at the Humane Society and was involved in saving animals. Tim belonged to the Lions Club in Gallup, New Mexico. Tim was a loving, kind and caring person.

Tim leaves behind Lois Hubbard, son Eric Ishmael of Wapakoneta, Ohio, daughters Erica Ishmael of Roseburg, Oregon, and Eliza Walter of Mitchell; six stepchildren, four grandchildren, 20 step grandchildren and one step great-grandchild, brothers Walter (Donna), Marion (Linda), Vernon (Connie), Joseph (Cindy), Jerry, David (Judy) and Chad and sisters Margaret (Clyde) Mach, Barbara (Robert) Kucera, Connie (Calvin) Larive, Karen Ishmael and sister-in-law JoAnne Ishmael, 25 nieces and nephews, 56 great nieces and nephews, 13 great-great nieces and nephews, friends and co-workers.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Viola Ishmael, brother Richard, nieces Dianne Ishmael and Sandra Ghori, and nephew Ralph Ishmael.
