Marla Heth, 37, of Wagner, died Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Funeral services were Wednesday, March 8 at the Greenwood Community Center in Greenwood. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery. Wake services began Monday at the Greenwood Community Center. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Marla was born August 6, 1985 in Wagner to Linda and Basil Heth. Marla was the eighth born out of eleven children. She graduated from Marty Indian School in 2003. After graduation she moved to Sioux Falls and made many friends along the way. Marla did not have any children of her own but she loved ALL of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.

Marla enjoyed cruising around and living her best life. She had a very outgoing personality, a bright and unique style of her own that she wore so proudly. She didn’t care what anyone had to say about her. Marla loved spending time with her family and friends. If she couldn’t be found, she was most likely gambling with her cigarette and pop in hand. Her favorite games were Yahtzee, Sudoku and crossword puzzles. Marla’s crazy humor, vibrant personality, creativity and her cute little giggle will be missed very much.

Marla is survived by her father Basil Heth Jr. and sister AshleyHeth,bothof Greenwood; brothers: Austin (Christa) Heth, Desmond (Dorothy) Heth, Adam (Laron) Heth and Wade Heth; all of Greenwood; Bryan (Lisa) Heth and Michael Heth; both of Wagner; Eric (Cely) Heth of St. Joseph, MO and so many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Marla is preceded in death by her mother, Linda May; big sister, Kimberly Esther; baby brother, Mark Isaac; grandson, Brycen Day; grandparents: Lillian LaCroix, Isaac Greeley, Mildred Zephier (Blacksmith), Basil Heth Sr. and many other relatives. Marla was so loved and will be missed dearly.
