Funeral services for Keith LeClaire, 64, of Ravinia were held Friday, March 21 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery, Greenwood. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements. Keith Wayne LeCLaire was born February 18, 1961, the son of Phillip LeClaire Jr. and Bernice Medicine Bear at the IHS in Wagner. He died March 17, 2025 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Keith was the eldest brother of five siblings: Randall Medicine Bear, Myron LeClaire (deceased) Bruce LeClaire, Darla LeClaire (deceased). Keith grew up in Ravinia and Sioux Falls. Growing up in Sioux Falls, he enjoyed spending time with his siblings and his cousins going the the skating rink. Keith graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls. He enlisted into the Air Force, as a mechanic, after which he went into the Job Corp as an auto body mechanic, later becoming an airline mechanic at Denver International Airport and also held various mechanic jobs in the Denver area. Keith was an avid Denver Broncos fan. Keith married Melissa Rupp in Golden, CO on April 16, 1983, after first meeting in Durango, CO. TO this union they had four children: David Wayne LeClaire (deceased), Darla Kay LeClaire (deceased), Amanda Marie LeClaire, and Brandi Alexandria LeClaire. He is survived by his mother Bernice, two brothers: Randall and Bruce; tow daughters: Amanda and Brandi; six grandchildren: Donovan Xavier, Damian Michael, Dominik Wayne, Karizma Kay, Jasmine Sophia, and Elias Miguel Wayne. His cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren all played a vital role in Keith’s life and he treated all of his relatives as “one family”. He will be missed dearly. Keith was preceded in death by his brother Myron, sister Darla, maternal grandparents David and Elsie Medicine Bear, paternal grandparents Phillip Sr. and Hannah LeClaire, aunts: Clarice St. Pierre and Lydia Antelope; and cousins: Cynthia “Cindy” Knudsen and Monica LeRoy.
