Funeral services for Ivan J. Hall, 82, of Wagner were held December 21 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner with Pastor Laurie Kidd officiating. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Ivan J. Hall was born February 6, 1936 in Wagner, the son of Ivan C. and Marguerite (Bullock) Hall. He passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner.

Ivan grew up on the farm near Wagner and graduated from Wagner High School in 1954, and Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell in 1959.

Ivan married Glenda Hawley on June 1, 1958, when they were both students at DWU.

Ivan served in the South Dakota National Guard for ten years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He worked at the Wagner Livestock Sale Barn on sale days for many years and made many good friends. Ivan wasahard worker for the Randall Community Water District and served on the Board of Directors for 40 years, 26 years as President. He was a dedicated farmer and proud to have his son and grandson continue the farming operation.

Ivan is survived by his wife Glenda of Wagner; son Joe and wife Vera of Wagner; two grandchildren: Katie Bartunek and husband Corey of Avon and Andrew Hall of Wagner; three great grandchildren: Grady, Hayes and Kolston Bartunek; brother Lynn (Joan) Hall of The Villages, FL; sister-in-law Vonna Hafner of Broomfield, CO; four nephews: Todd and Kreg Hall, John and Douglas Hafner; and mother-in-law, Velda Hawley of Wagner.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Janelle.
