Graveside services for Henrietta Bruguier, Apia lhaakuawaa Wi “ Fire in the Cloud Woman”, 61, of Lake Andes were Thursday, December 17 at the Native American Church Cemetery, rural Wagner. Wake services were Wednesday at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner.

Henrietta Lucy Bruguier was born October 23, 1959 to Quentin and Myrtly (Dion) Bruguier at Wagner. She entered into rest on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

Henrietta attended school at Andes Central School, then after graduation she attended various colleges, Black Hills State University, Stewarts Beauty College and Ihanktonwan Community College, where she graduated with a degree in Business.

Henrietta worked various jobs at Fort Randall Casino, Yankton Sioux Tribe andIhanktonwan Community College.

She met and married Michael Neal. To this union eight children were born: Megan, Mike Jr., Vance, Latisha, Quentino, Quentono, Dion and Mikelena. She was also blessed with 12 grandchildren. Henrietta was also a loving godmother to Shelly, Misty, Haley, Danitra and Jesse.

Henrietta is survived by her eight children, grandchildren, her mother Myrtle, brothers: Willard, JB, Terry, Henry, Tony and sister Danita; many relatives, nieces, nephews, aunties and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father Quentin Bruguier, sister Ruby Bruguier and her late husband Mike Neal.
