COLLEEN M. YOUNGBLUTH

Colleen Marie Youngbluth of Elberta, Alabama died Thursday January 16, 2025 at the Baldwin Medical Center in Foley, Alabama.

She married Myron (DD) Youngbluth of Wagner in 1959 and began a family. They moved to California and Colleen began a career at Golden State Hospital in Newhall where she worked in the medical records department and later as a hospital administrator. DD and Colleen owned several businesses throughout the years traveling north to Sacramento where Colleen kept the books and managed the payroll. Upon retirement they moved to Paris, Tennessee and built their new home. After DD passed away in 2021, Colleen stayed in her home until recently when she moved to Elberta, Alabama to be closer to family.

Colleen is survived by her two sons Bradley Dean Youngbluth of Elberta, Alabama and Bruce David Youngbluth and his wife Tristyne of Hummelstown, PA. She was blessed to have six grandchildren: Joshua, Jonathan, Riley, Alexandria, Juliet, and Noah as well as three great-grandchildren.

Colleen is preceded in death by her husband, brother Jack, brother Timothy, Sister Ellen, Sister Marilyn, and her brother and sister in law Chuck and Myrna Denker.

Colleen embraced her life and was always the glue to her immediate family. She enjoyed reading and when she was able she liked walking with her friends throughout the neighborhood. She loved music and had a fondness for classic country music. Colleen always had a special place in her heart for her friends and the people of Charles Mix County as well as fond memories of the little town of Lake Andes where she grew up. No matter where she and her husband lived, Charles Mix county was always their true home. Colleen will be laid to rest next to her husband (DD) in Wagner.
