A 30 point second quarter proved to be the difference in Wagner’s win over Bon Homme on Friday night, January 14th. The two teams were tied at 14 after the first period before Wagner went on a 30-10 run to take a 20 point lead into half time. The two teams played even the rest of the game, Wagner outscored the Cavaliers by two in the third quarter and by four in the fourth making the final score Red Raiders 82-Bon Homme 56. Five players scored double digits for Wagner, led by Nolan Carda who finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Dustin Honomichl scored 13 points, Alex Cournoyer added 12, 7 rebounds and 3 assists, Simon Freier added 11 points and 3 steals and Toby Zephier scored 10 points and had 5 assists. Chris Nelson finished with 9 points and 3 assists, Niko Drapeau scored 5 points, Camden Roth, and Jaden Peters finished with 4 points each.

Both teams came out on fire, scoring a combined 46 points in the first period, Wagner led 25-21. The Red Raiders built a lead in the second quarter outscoring the Jaguars 19-14 making the score 44-35 at half time. Wagner would lead by as many as 15 in the second half at times but Corsica Stickney is a good team and would not quit. Wagner held on to win the game 69-59. Wagner had another balanced scoring attack with four players scoring double digits. Dustin Honomichl led the way with 16 points, Jaden Peters added 12, Toby Zephier had 12 points, 3 steals 3 assists and 4 rebounds, Nolan Carda added 12 points and had 6 rebounds. Simon Freier scored 9 points Marcus Zephier added 6 and Chris Nelson 2.
