Bruce dedicated just shy of 21 years of service to the Springfield National GuardUnit.Bruceendedhis service in January of 1994 when the Springfield National Guard Unit closed. He finished his service as an E6 Staff Sergeant. Voigt began his service at the age of 17 in June 1973. He originally joined after a classmate’s brother talked to him about the benefits of joining the National Guard. He spent his senior year as a member of the Springfield National Guard Unit.

On February 7, 2024 the High School Choir attended the vocal solo/ ensemble contest at Vermillion High School. The choir performed a total of 17 songs and brought home eight I ratings, six II ratings, and three III ratings.

This is a test that often concerns students as it sometimes determines what opportunities they may or may not get to consider after they leave high school. Some students may want or need a specific score to qualify for a scholarship or they may just want to just meet the requirements of entering a specific educational program or college of their choice.
