To say that this Oral Interp season is a "normal" season is an understatement. The 2020 Oral Interp Season has been anything but normal. The Oral interp students have been put to the ultimate test this season in performing virtually for all of their meets. This is a challenge when a typical season would involve the speakers performing live and in front of a real audience. But, with the arrival of COVID, the season had to change. That is, it had to change, but still carry on.

Still, the opportunity to archery hunt antelope is there every year, and SD rifle hunters could hunt every year if they were willing to doe hunt when they didn’t draw a buck tag. For Harding County, arguably SD’s best pronghorn county, partner Mike Hall and I recently drew second choice doe tags when we failed on our first choice buck tags.

This fall 403 South Dakota FFA members from 67 chapters, will receive their own FFA jackets through the SD FFA Foundation Blue Jackets Bright Futures FFA Jacket Program - carrying forward that long-standing tradition of pride, dignity and honor. Jackets were sponsored by various individuals through the SD FFA Foundation program, welcoming new members into the fabric of FFA. FFA members filled out the Blue Jackets Bright Futures FFA Jacket Program application, answering short essay questions about their FFA experience and goals, competing to earn their own FFA jacket instead of purchasing one. 2020 recipients & their sponsors are:
