Friday, May 13, 2022, will be a busy day for the Class of 2022. They will start the day by setting up and practicing for graduation that will be held the following day, May 14, 2022. The seniors will then take time for their last walk through the halls of Wagner Community School. The walk will weave through the ELC, Elementary, Middle School, and High School halls.

The Feather Ceremony is a symbol of hope that the students will soar toward a brighter tomorrow and rewarding future: for themselves, their community, and their tribe. Wambdi- Eagle, is held in high respects by the Dakota/Lakota/Nakota people. It is said that we use him to carry messages to our creator because he flies so high. The eagle is held in high admirations and to earn a feather is a high honor. The tying of the feathers by a family member of a graduate is a key part to the ceremony. The feather ceremony is a tradition passed down through the years. The tradition has withstood time and all the hardships that Native American people have endured.
